The broadcast was created to get kids to watch the game and share more interest in the Super Bowl. Nickelodeon offered a unique experience that saw SpongeBob SquarePants and best buddy Patrick Star call the game from Allegiant Stadium/Bikini Online Reactions. On February 12th, 2024, the NFL uploaded a video with the best moments of Nickelodeon's Super Bowl broadcast (shown below, left), which amassed more than 166,000 views and 6,100 likes in a few hours. As part of the broadcast's gimmicks, Nickelodeon poked fun at celebrities by reimagining them as fish and other deep sea critters from the beloved cartoon. Among the personalities were NBA star Lebron James as LePrawn James, Hollywood action star Vin Diesel as Fin Diesel and American pop sensation Billie Eilish as Billie Eelish. Super Bowl LVIII had many famous fans spotlighted during the broadcast. That wasn't just exclusive to the CBS version, however. The Nickelodeon version of the broadcast took a SpongeBob SquarePants theme to "highlight" fans at the game.
